Once in the village it is time for a nice lunch and the luggage will be transferred from the car to the boat. The journey then continues by boat. It is still about 3 hours of sailing to the camp where we will stay. In the evening there is time for a delicious dinner, and it is important to rest well for the next day.
Day 2
On day two we get up early for breakfast. After this we get ready for the climb of the Voltzberg. Beforehand we take a good walk through the jungle and encounter the most beautiful animals and plants. Once at the foot of the mountain it is time to climb the 240-metre-high mountain. The climb itself does not take long and will be rewarded with a beautiful view over the jungle of Suriname.
After we have enjoyed the breathtaking view it is time to descend again and we continue the walk back to the camp. On the way back we make a short stop at the Anjoemara waterfall to cool off. Of course, dinner will again be cooked in the evening.
