Who we are
Cross Group International is a travel organiser from Paramaribo, Suriname. We organise day trips and multi-day tours in the interior of Suriname. We are responsible for the processing of personal data as described in this privacy policy.

Which data we process
We only process the data that you give us yourself when you contact us or request or book a trip:
- your name;
- your phone number and/or email address;
- the trip you are interested in, the number of people and your preferred date;
- the content of your message and any other information you send us;
- data needed to organise a trip, such as the pick-up address or particulars about your party.
We do not ask for sensitive data. Please do not send us any, unless it is necessary for your trip (for example a dietary requirement or a medical limitation we need to take into account).
What we use your data for
- to answer your questions and send you a proposal or quote;
- to confirm your booking and to organise and carry out your tour;
- to stay in touch with you about your trip, for example about pick-up times or changes;
- to comply with legal obligations.
We do not use your data for other purposes and we do not send you advertising unless you have asked for it.
How your message reaches us
The forms on this website (the contact form and the booking block on a trip) do not forward anything on their own. The booking block on a trip sends your request directly to us, securely and only after you press the button. The contact form opens your WhatsApp or email program with a ready-made message; we only receive it when you send it yourself.
Messages via WhatsApp are processed by WhatsApp (Meta) and emails by your and our email provider, under their own terms.
Sharing with others
We do not sell your data. We only share it when necessary to carry out your trip, for example with the guide, the lodge or the village where you stay and the boat operators. We then share no more than is needed for that (usually your name, the number of people and the travel dates).
External services on this website
This website uses third-party services that may receive your IP address and device data when your browser loads them:
- Google Maps for the maps on the contact page, the destinations page and the trip pages;
- WhatsApp for the buttons to send us a message.
The privacy terms of the respective providers apply to the use of these services.
How long we keep data
We do not keep your data longer than necessary for the purpose for which you gave it, and as long as the law requires us to. Messages that do not lead to a booking are deleted after some time.
Security
We take reasonable measures to protect your data against loss and unauthorised access. However, completely secure transmission over the internet does not exist. Therefore, do not send us passwords or payment details via email or WhatsApp.
Your rights
You can ask us for:
- access to the data we hold about you;
- correction of incorrect data;
- deletion of your data;
- restriction of the use of your data, or an objection to it.
To do so, send an email to info@crossgroupinternational.com. We respond as soon as possible, within 30 days at the latest.
Changes
We may amend this privacy policy, for example if something changes on our website or in the law. The most recent version is always on this page.
