About this tour
Discover the historic inner city of Paramaribo together with Cynthia McLeod, author of The Free Negress Elisabeth and The Cost of Sugar, and one of the best known storytellers of Suriname's history.
During the city tour you hear the stories behind the streets and buildings of the city. You can combine the tour with a visit to the Elisabeth Samson Museum, dedicated to the free Black woman who became one of the richest people in 18th century Suriname.
