About this tour
'Menimi' means "remember me" in the Saramaccan Maroon language. These Maroons have lived for centuries in small villages along the wide and calm Suriname River. A stay in this hospitable, clean and comfortable holiday accommodation is truly an unforgettable experience.
Menimi is located on a piece of family land of more than ten hectares, in the middle of nature and on the water. It lies about 28 kilometres (about an hour by boat) upstream from the Atjoni landing place, just below the Brokopondo reservoir.
